Time Conditions

Send calls to the right destination during business hours, after hours and on holidays.

In the CRM: Voice Features → Phone System → Applications → Time Conditions

Give every enquiry a useful next step

Time Conditions lets your phone system choose a destination according to the day and time. For example, weekday calls can ring your sales team, while evening calls go to the after-hours destination you have prepared.

Telnyx carries calls to your purchased business number. Mango9’s phone routing decides what happens next: a staff extension, ring group, phone menu, voicemail or another configured destination. This helps keep a marketing number useful throughout the day.

An unsaved example: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Choose the destination below the conditions before saving. Select the image to enlarge it.

Create a business-hours rule

  1. Open Voice Features → Phone System. Inside the phone system, open Applications → Time Conditions and choose Add.
  2. Enter a Name you will recognize, such as “Weekday enquiries”, and an unused internal Extension for the rule.
  3. In Settings, choose Day of Week and set the starting and ending days. Add a Time of Day condition for the opening and closing times.
  4. Choose the destination beneath that condition group. This is where matching calls should go.
  5. Choose an Alternate Destination for calls that do not match the conditions.
  6. Review Enabled, add a useful Description and choose Save.

Plan the time and holiday behavior

Choose times using the phone system’s configured local time zone, such as Los Angeles. Confirm the business time zone when reviewing the setup with Supervisor, especially if the team or buyers operate in several cities.

Use Presets for the holidays the business observes. Select a preset and open its name to review or customize its conditions and destination. Keep the holiday greeting and the route consistent with the service you will provide that day.

Order controls the rule’s position in the phone routing. Keep the established order when editing an existing rule unless you are deliberately changing that routing sequence.

Review the holiday presets and the alternate destination together. These selections are examples in an unsaved form. Select the image to enlarge it.

Connect the rule to the business number

  1. Return to the Phone System dashboard and open Destinations from Quick menu.
  2. Open the incoming business number you want to route. In its Actions choices, select the saved Time Condition and save the intended routing.
  3. Test a call to that business number during the matching period and check that it reaches the chosen destination.
  4. Check the alternate and holiday destinations as part of your routing review, so callers have a clear next step outside normal hours.

Use it in a marketing campaign

For a consultation campaign, route daytime calls to the sales ring group. Use an after-hours destination prepared for enquiries, such as voicemail or an AI agent route configured for the service and booking process.

For a lead or call-selling campaign, align the routing hours with the buyer’s agreed availability. Give staff and buyers who answer within Mango9 their own extensions, and use the campaign’s buyer-delivery settings for the sale.

Ask Supervisor: “Help me route our consultation number to sales during Los Angeles business hours and to our after-hours enquiry process at other times.”
