Call Broadcast

Prepare a defined group of outbound calls with a clear destination, caller identity and call capacity.

In the CRM: Voice Features → Phone System → Applications → Call Broadcast

Give a group of customers the same next step

Call Broadcast organizes a list of numbers and the destination that will handle those calls. For example, a business can prepare requested consultation reminders and direct answered calls to its appointment extension or menu.

Keep the offer and destination aligned. Your Telnyx connection provides the carrier service; the selected business caller ID helps customers recognize the call, and the destination determines which extension, menu or other configured number handles it.

Prepare the broadcast

  1. Open Call Broadcast and use Add, or open an existing entry to edit it.
  2. Name the purpose, such as Consultation reminders. Set the intended Start Time when using scheduled calling.
  3. Choose Timeout and Concurrent Limit for the intended call flow and the team available to answer.
  4. Set the business Caller ID Name and Caller ID Number, then the Destination Number.
  5. Prepare the recipient list and review it before saving. Confirm the destination and schedule before using the broadcast.
Prepare the broadcast
SettingMeaning for your business
Start TimeThe intended time to begin the calls.
TimeoutThe call timeout in seconds.
Concurrent LimitThe approximate number of calls handled at once. An empty value leaves this limit unset.
Caller IDThe business identity requested for outbound calls.
Destination NumberThe configured extension, IVR menu, conference or other destination that handles the call.
Voicemail DetectionWhether to detect answering machines and voicemail.
Account Code / Toll AllowExisting phone-account and permitted dialing settings; use the values established for your service.

Keep the destination separate from the recipient list

Destination Number is where the call is handled. Phone Numbers is the list of people being called. For example, extension 101 can be the destination while the separate list contains the intended customer numbers.

Enter one recipient per line in the shown number/name format, or use Sample CSV File as the starting point for a TXT/CSV upload. Keep the sample header: the file importer skips the first line.

If you both type numbers and upload a file, the lists are combined. Use one prepared list to avoid accidentally including the same person twice.

Follow the customer journey

Make the destination useful: a consultation menu can route callers to the right staff extension, while an appropriately configured AI destination can handle the questions and booking process you have set up.

Use Call Detail Records to review the resulting calls. For buyer distribution, pricing and lead/call sales, continue in Sell Leads & Calls and its configured campaigns.
