Feature Codes

Use the phone system’s shortcut reference for transfers, forwarding and everyday call handling.

In the CRM: Voice Features → Feature Codes

Find the shortcut for the job

Feature Codes is the phone system’s quick-reference page. It groups shortcuts by the task: parking, voicemail, paging, transfers, forwarding, conferencing, recording and utility features. Open it when you need to understand a code before using it from your extension.

In the examples, ext means the destination extension and number means the phone number you want to use. The plus sign describes combining a code with its destination; it is not a button to press. Follow your phone’s keypad or transfer procedure for the configured feature.

The Call Transfer section explains the listed shortcuts and what each one does. Select the image to enlarge it.

Keep calls covered while the team is busy

The forwarding section pairs each setup code with its cancel code. Forward All Calls sends incoming calls to the chosen destination. Forward on Busy and Forward No Answer cover those specific situations. Use the matching cancel action when normal answering should resume.

For example, a marketing team running an afternoon promotion can arrange coverage before the calls arrive. A staff member can forward their extension temporarily, while the main business number’s routing continues to be managed in My Numbers and the phone system.

After changing how calls are handled, make a test to the intended business number and verify the destination. Return temporary forwarding or Do Not Disturb settings to the state you want when coverage changes.

Keep the matching cancel code handy when you temporarily forward calls. Select the image to enlarge it.
