Telnyx Connection

Connect your carrier, put business numbers to work and turn enquiries into calls, appointments and lead sales.

In the CRM: Settings → Connections → Telnyx

Telnyx is your carrier

Telnyx supplies the phone-number, calling and text-message service your business uses. Connecting your Telnyx account lets Mango9 use that service for your business numbers and conversations.

Mango9 organizes the work around those calls and texts: extensions for users and buyers, call routing, lead and call sales, SMS conversations, campaigns and AI agents. Your carrier carries the communication; Mango9 helps the team turn it into business.

Connect your business account

If Telnyx is not offered, your account may already use managed phone service. Ask your Mango9 account contact about the intended setup before adding another carrier connection.

  1. Sign in as the Mango9 account owner. Have an active paid Mango9 plan and your business’s Telnyx account ready for paid use.
  2. In the Telnyx portal, open the account menu → Account Settings → API Keys. Create an API v2 key and keep it private.
  3. In Mango9, open Settings → Connections. Select + New connection → Telnyx, or Manage on its existing row.
  4. Paste the key into Telnyx API Key (v2), then select Validate & Save. Read the result before continuing.
  5. Select Provision. Mango9 prepares the calling connection, SMS messaging profile and outbound calling profile in your Telnyx account. Wait for the Provisioned status.

Connect the calling system

PBX is the business phone system that routes calls to your team. After Telnyx is provisioned, use the PBX Provisioning section to connect that phone system to your carrier.

The current form before Telnyx has been provisioned. Finish the carrier step first. Select the image to enlarge it.
  1. Select Provision PBX and wait for its result.
  2. Select Verify PBX to review the gateway, routes and destinations. These are the connections and rules that make calls reach the right place.
  3. Read any incomplete item before moving on to numbers and extensions. When adding a new number later, check its incoming destination as part of that number’s setup.

Buy numbers, then create extensions and users

An extension is a person’s internal phone line, such as 101. A business number is the public number customers dial. Keeping those roles clear makes it easier to route enquiries and understand who handled each conversation.

  1. Open My Numbers → Manage to buy your business numbers, or Port & Host to bring existing numbers.
  2. Create the phone extensions your staff and buyers will use. Choose the purchased business number for caller ID and set the incoming-call destination.
  3. Add your agents and buyers in Manage Users, then assign the appropriate extension to each person who will answer calls in Mango9.
  4. Use Sell Leads & Calls to configure campaign buyers, call destinations, lead delivery and pricing. A buyer using another phone system can receive calls at the agreed external number.
  5. Complete My Numbers → SMS Compliance for the number’s texting setup, then confirm the sending number in your SMS tools.
  6. Make a controlled call and text to a number you own, and check where the reply arrives.

Use the same numbers with AI agents

Once your carrier and numbers are ready, open AI Agents to create an assistant for the job you want done. Choose a starting template, add your business information, attach the intended number and configure its voice and Text channels.

For appointment booking, connect the calendar and the booking actions the agent should use. For SMS conversations, enable the agent’s Text settings and reply schedule. Give staff a clear extension or handoff destination for conversations that need a person.

Use SMS templates for repeatable staff or campaign messages, such as a quote follow-up or appointment reminder. The AI agent’s instructions, greeting and actions guide its conversational replies.
