Developer APIs

Connect your website and other business tools to leads, appointments, AI calls and text messages.

In the CRM: Settings → Developer APIs

Let your business tools work together

An API is a way for one piece of software to ask another to do a job. For example, your website can pass a new enquiry to Mango9, your booking tool can add an appointment, and your follow-up service can request a text message.

You decide what should happen in the business. Your developer or integration provider connects the matching API. The regular Mango9 screens and workflows remain available for the team’s day-to-day work.

The menu follows the current CRM order: Calendar, Contacts, VoiceAI, SMS, SMS Inbox and Meta Lead Ads. Select the image to enlarge it.

Use the right account and API key

The key value is replaced with a placeholder. Generate New Key replaces the account’s existing API secret. Select the image to enlarge it.
  1. Use the Mango9 server where the business signs in: 2.mango9.com or us.mango9.com. Keep the integration and its account on that same server.
  2. Open SMS API to manage the account API key. Save a newly generated secret securely when it is shown; the full secret is displayed only once.
  3. Give the secret to the person maintaining the server-side integration through a secure channel. Keep it out of public website code, shared screenshots and source repositories.
  4. Use that saved secret in the relevant API request or Try It Out field. A masked key label cannot authenticate a request.
  5. If replacing a key, coordinate the change across all integrations. Generating a new key immediately invalidates the previous one.

Prepare a lead-to-appointment journey

Connect Telnyx as your carrier, buy the numbers for your campaigns, and assign extensions to the users and buyers who handle calls. Configure your AI agents, booking tools and SMS templates before connecting automated follow-up.

A home-services enquiry can become a contact, enter a routing campaign, reach a staff member or buyer, and receive a booking confirmation. A configured AI agent can support the conversation and appointment process using the business information and tools you have given it.

The Contacts API starts the configured lead-created workflow events. A supplied campaign ID also requests the campaign’s lead routing. Review those rules before sending test contacts into a live campaign.

Verify one step at a time

A successful request to start a call is not a completed conversation. A successful message submission is not proof of delivery to the handset. Use the related activity and delivery records to confirm the outcome.

  1. Begin with a small read request, such as listing contact fields or today’s appointments.
  2. Check both the HTTP result and the response body. A page returning HTTP 200 can still contain an API error.
  3. Use your own test contact and number for an agreed test that creates records, places a call or sends a message.
  4. Confirm the resulting contact, appointment, call or message in Mango9. Record the returned ID so the integration can follow the same item.
  5. Treat SMS Inbox retrieval as a processing action: returned replies may be marked processed. Choose one coordinated consumer.
