Groups
Organize contacts into useful lists for targeting, assignment and follow-up.
In the CRM: Lead Fusion → Groups
Give each list a clear purpose
A group is a named contact list. Use names that explain why the people belong together, such as Website roofing enquiries, Los Angeles consultations or Existing maintenance customers. This makes it easier to select the right audience for a task, import or campaign.
The list shows each group’s contact count, opt-out count, creation date and status. Select a group in the search controls and use GO to narrow the view. Open the group’s actions to view its contacts or use the available import and export controls.
Create a group
- Open Lead Fusion → Groups and select New.
- Enter a distinct Group Name that your team will understand.
- Select Create Group, then confirm the new group appears in the list.
- Choose that group when adding a contact or uploading a CSV file. For existing leads, use Bulk Actions → Change group.
- Open the group’s contacts and check that the intended people are included.
Keep campaign audiences organized
Use a group for the list itself and a status for the person’s progress. For example, a lead can belong to Spring renovation enquiries and have an Appointment Set status. A custom field can hold a detail such as the requested service or budget.
Changing a contact’s group replaces its current group selection. Plan the names with your team so one campaign’s reorganization does not make another team lose track of its audience.
Deleting a group can delete the contacts inside it. Review the contacts and keep any needed export before removing a group. Do not use group deletion simply to rename or retire a campaign.
