Configure
Shape the contact lists around your sales process with useful columns, fields and statuses.
In the CRM: Lead Fusion → Configure
Put the right information in the list
Configure lets you make Leads and Clients useful for the way your business works. A call team may need phone, status and city first; a service business may care most about customer name, service interest and the next step.
Leads and Clients have separate column settings. Visible Columns controls what appears in the list and its order. Available / Hidden Columns holds details you can add later.
- Open Lead Fusion → Configure and find the Leads or Clients column section.
- Drag a column into Visible Columns to show it, or into Available / Hidden Columns to remove it from the list view.
- Drag visible columns into the order you want.
- Select Save Leads Column Settings or Save Clients Column Settings for the section you changed.
- Return to the corresponding list and check the result. Hiding a column changes the view, not the stored contact details.
Add a field your team will use
For example, a roofing campaign can record roof type, a consultation campaign can record the requested service, and an agency can record a company’s current marketing channel. Keep fields focused on information the next person will use. Set up Lead and Client fields in their respective sections.
- Find the Lead or Client custom-field section and select Add Custom Field.
- Enter a Name without spaces, such as service_interest. This identifies the field in data mapping.
- Enter a clear Label, such as Service interest, for the wording shown to your team.
- Choose the Type: text for a short answer, textarea for a longer note, or date, url, email or phone for those kinds of information.
- Choose Personal Info, Business Info or Marketing Info as the section, and Show or Hide as the display setting.
- Select Add, confirm the request and open a contact to check where the field appears.
Use statuses to describe progress
Lead Statuses and Client Statuses are separate lists. Choose a short set of names that the team can use consistently. New, Contacted, Qualified and Appointment Set describe a sales journey; Active, VIP and Inactive can describe an existing customer relationship.
Use New Lead Status or the client-status add control, enter the name and save the dialog. The status list updates at that point. Removing a status with its × control also saves immediately, so review the name before removing it.
- Agree what each status means and when staff should choose it.
- Check campaigns, workflows and reports that depend on a status before changing your process.
- In Converted Lead Statuses, choose a status and select Make Converted to count that outcome as converted in reporting.
- A converted-status reporting choice does not itself move every matching record into Clients. Use Convert to Client on an individual lead when that person becomes a customer.
