Email Lists

Organize subscribers into audiences so each campaign reaches the right people.

In the CRM: Email Campaigns → Campaigns → Lists

Give each audience a clear purpose

A list is the audience you select when sending a campaign. You might keep separate lists for consultation enquiries, existing customers and event attendees. Clear names help staff choose relevant messages and understand who will receive them.

The Lists screen shows the audience, subscription settings and number of subscribers. The sample list is empty. Select the image to enlarge it.

Create a list

The list setup form. Private lists organize your audience internally; public lists can appear on subscription pages. Select the image to enlarge it.
  1. Choose New and enter a meaningful name, such as Consultation enquiries.
  2. Choose Private for an audience you manage internally, or Public when you want people to find and subscribe to it through the enabled public subscription pages.
  3. Choose Single opt-in or Double opt-in. Double opt-in asks the subscriber to confirm before they receive campaigns for that list.
  4. Add a description explaining who belongs in the list and optional tags to keep related lists organized.
  5. Save, then use Groups or Subscribers to add the appropriate audience. Review the subscriber count before selecting the list in a campaign.

Keep your audience organized

  • Open a list’s subscriber count to review its audience. The edit action lets you update the list details.
  • Archive a list when it is no longer part of your regular work. View archived lets you find it again and restore it.
  • Keep subscription choices intact when refreshing an audience. A new marketing offer is most useful when it matches what people asked to hear about.
