Port & Host
Bring an existing number to Mango9 and follow the transfer request from submission to completion.
In the CRM: My Numbers → Port & Host → Port in requests
Check existing requests first
Open My Numbers → Port & Host → Port in requests. The table shows the order number, phone numbers, status, FOC date, end user and losing carrier. The losing carrier is the provider currently serving the number.
FOC means Firm Order Commitment: the scheduled transfer date when the provider has confirmed one. A request appearing in the table does not by itself mean the transfer has completed.
- Search for the phone number or order if a request may already exist.
- Read its current status and any confirmed transfer date before starting another request.
- Select Port a Number when you need a new transfer.
Prepare the information and documents
- Keep the numbers active with the current provider until the transfer is confirmed.
- Have the current carrier name and account information available. Use information that matches the existing account.
- Prepare a signed Letter of Authorization (LOA) covering the numbers being transferred. Use Download (LOA) Template on the form if needed.
- Have a recent bill that covers the same numbers. Review the requirements shown on the page before uploading.
- Plan for the transition and verify both calls and texts after completion. This page does not guarantee an interruption-free transfer.
Check and submit the request
The current form describes a request of up to five numbers. Contact the account owner about a larger transfer rather than assuming that adding extra fields changes the provider’s limit.
- Under Check number portability, enter the number and select Check. Read the result before continuing.
- In Place portability order, enter the previous carrier and the first number. Enter additional numbers only as allowed by the displayed instructions.
- Check every digit after formatting. These fields display US numbers as ten digits, for example (202)-555-0123.
- Choose the LOA and recent bill files. Confirm that both documents cover all numbers in the request.
- Review the form and select Place Order when ready.
- Return to Port in requests and confirm that the order appears. Keep its order reference for follow-up.
Follow the transfer through completion
- Check the saved request for status changes and the FOC date.
- If additional information is requested, correct that request using the guidance from the account owner or support. Do not start duplicate requests to bypass a pending order.
- Keep service with the current provider until completion is confirmed.
- After the transfer, open Active Number, confirm the user and incoming-call route, and test the number.
- Check texting separately and complete any messaging registration required for the transferred number.
When you need help
Provide the order reference, affected number and the exact status or error to support. Keep account documents in the request’s upload process; do not paste them into public screenshots.
If the request list is empty, check the correct Mango9 server and account, clear the table search and confirm whether a request was submitted.
