SMS Compliance (10DLC)
Register your business, explain the texts you will send, and connect your US local numbers to an approved messaging campaign.
In the CRM: My Numbers → SMS Compliance
What this page is for
10DLC means ten-digit long code: an ordinary US local phone number used for business texting. Telnyx registration connects three things: your business identity (brand), the type of messages you send (campaign), and the phone numbers you will use.
In Mango9, open My Numbers and choose SMS Compliance, the last item in that menu. The page guides you through registration and shows the saved progress. It does not send your text messages.
Before you start
- Use a business owner account with access to SMS Compliance. Select the correct Business workspace at the top if you manage more than one.
- Have the legal business details, contact email, phone number, website and address available. The form changes according to the business type.
- Prepare a clear explanation of your messages and how recipients agree to receive them. Have sample messages, a privacy policy URL and messaging terms URL ready.
- Make sure the sending numbers belong to the selected workspace. A number from another workspace will not appear in its selection.
If the page says Connection needs attention, ask the account owner to check the Telnyx connection in Settings → Connections. Saved registrations remain visible while the connection is being fixed.
1. Enter the business details
- Choose Business type first. A private business, sole proprietor and public company need different identity information.
- Enter the business display name and the legal details requested by the form. Use your actual business information; the display name and legal name may differ.
- Complete the contact details, website, industry and business address. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.
- For a sole proprietor, complete the owner and mobile-verification fields that appear. For a public company, complete the corporate verification fields shown.
2. Describe the messaging campaign
- Choose Messaging purpose. If the form asks for supporting purposes, choose the required number of relevant options.
- In What messages will you send?, explain what the business sends and who receives those messages.
- In How do people opt in?, explain the actual signup or consent process, including where recipients see the wording.
- Provide the requested sample messages. The first two examples are required by this form; use the additional examples when needed for your messaging purposes.
- Add your privacy policy and messaging terms URLs, then complete the HELP, opt-in and STOP keywords and responses.
- Review the message-content checkboxes and the automatic-renewal choice. Select the options that describe your real messages.
3. Choose numbers and review fees
Reviewing fees does not submit the registration or charge the account. Submission is a separate action after the confirmations. Use the amounts and billing destination on your screen; costs depend on the business and campaign.
The screen explains whether Telnyx bills the connected account directly or whether confirmed provider costs use the shared CRM wallet. If a later fee requires approval, review that request before registration can continue.
- Select the sending numbers assigned to this business workspace.
- Select Review registration fees. Review the business details, initial estimate, any monthly renewal estimate and billing destination.
- If you need changes, select Edit details. Changing the form requires a fresh fee review.
- When ready, confirm that you are authorized to register the business and that you accept the displayed fees. Then select Submit registration.
Follow the registration status
Your registrations keeps the saved progress, so you can leave the page and return later. Use Refresh status to check again. A pending review is not a signal to start another registration.
| Status | Meaning and next step |
|---|---|
| Draft | Details are saved but not submitted. Reopen the draft and review current fees. |
| Queued / Registering business | The registration has been accepted for processing. Wait for the next update. |
| Business verification pending / Verification required | Follow the phone or email verification action shown on the registration. |
| Submitting campaign / Carrier review | The messaging campaign is being submitted or reviewed. |
| Connecting numbers | The approved campaign is being connected to the selected numbers. |
| Ready | The registration and number-assignment process is complete. You can check the sending setup and test a message. |
| Needs attention | Read the reason and the available correction or review actions. |
| Submission needs confirmation | The original request has an uncertain outcome. Check that saved registration instead of submitting a duplicate. |
| Connection changed | Review the account connection before continuing this registration. |
Correct a rejected campaign
- Open the registration and read the reason and fields that need attention.
- If Correct campaign details is available, edit the supported fields and select Save corrections. Locked business identity or messaging-purpose fields require the owner to follow the guidance shown.
- If saving was interrupted, use Check saved correction to confirm the original update.
- When the corrected details are saved, use Request another review if that action is available. Explain what you fixed and review the displayed carrier-review fee before confirming.
Saving corrections and requesting another review are separate steps. Saving alone does not mark the campaign Ready.
Renewal and billing
Review Automatically renew the campaign before submitting. The fee review shows whether renewal is on and any estimated recurring amount.
Turning off access to the CRM module does not cancel a provider campaign. Ask the account owner to handle the campaign itself if you need to stop renewals.
If fees need further confirmation, the page pauses the applicable step and asks for review. Do not create a second registration to bypass a pending fee or carrier review.
Start texting after registration
- Confirm that the registration shows Ready and includes the number you plan to use.
- Open your SMS inbox or Bulk SMS, select that sending number, and test with a recipient who expects the message.
- Check the message’s delivery result. Registration and sending are separate processes; use the sending screen’s error details if the message fails.
